Numerology - Life-Stage Numbers
![]()
Numerology can indicate how your approach to life changes as you progress through it. There are several ways to calculate 'Life-Stage' numbers, but all result in between three and five 'phases' in a lifetime.
The method shown here is very simple, and produces three 'Life-Stages', with the first two each being of twenty-seven years duration, with the last 'Life-Stage' lasting until death.
First Life-Stage Number:
The First Life-Stage Number is produced by adding together the digits of the DAY of birth. John James Smith was born on the 18th May 1965, so his First-Life Stage Number is simply:
1 + 8 = 9
John James Smith spent his first twenty-seven years fighting injustice wherever he came into contact with it, but at the same time building on his sense of being a 'martyr'. He was probably attractive to the opposite sex, although may have been possessive while at the same time being 'inconstant'!

Second Life-Stage Number:
The Second Life-Stage Number is produced by adding together the digits of the MONTH of birth. John James Smith was born on the 18th May 1965. May is the fifth month of the year, so his Second Life-Stage Number is simply:
0 + 5 = 5
John James Smith is currently in his Second Life-Stage, so this is relevant to the moment. John James Smith is still very impulsive, although he has settled down a bit, and tends to 'go with the flow' more than he used to. He can still attract arguments, however, is now happier talking with people as long as he doesn't get bored.

Third Life-Stage Number:
The Third Life-Stage Number is produced by adding together the digits of the full YEAR of birth. John James Smith was born on the 18th May 1965, so his Third Life-Stage Number is simply:
1 + 9 + 6 + 5 = 21
Again, twenty-one is greater than nine, so we simply add together the digits, so 21 becomes:
2 + 1 = 3
John James Smith will discover in his Third Life-Stage that the hedonistic behaviour in which he had indulged earlier in his life was as much a destructive force as the benefit of his efforts and good fortune. He may use his talents to benefit others, but equally, he may have had so many experiences that he has no specific goal or objective. He will need to be careful to avoid excesses or addiction.
