| Lapis Lazuli is a deep-blue which is a
combination of minerals, mainly Lazurite and Calcite, although other minerals (such as
Pyrite) may be included. Lapis Lazuli is said to have existed since 'the beginning of time', therefore provides access to ancient information. The 'stone of total awareness' helps to expand the intellect and allows connection to the psychic and intuitive aspects of ones character. The connection to the Throat chakra facilitates clear expression of thoughts and ideas, while improving organisational capabilities. Lapis Lazuli has been used as a protective stone, protecting the bearer from physical danger and from psychic attacks. In healing, Lapis Lazuli can be used to treat disorders of the throat, bone marrow, and immune system. It can also assist with insomnia and vertigo.
