| Jade occurs in the form of Jadeite, Jade,
and Nephrite. The depth of green signifies a difference in origin, and Chinese scholars
insist that deep-green only comes from China. Irrespective of origin, the
characteristics of Jade are consistent. The 'stone of fidelity', more-regularly called a 'dream-stone', Jade assists in remembering dreams, or in 'dream-solving'. Repressed emotions expressed in dreams may also be released by Jade placed under the pillow before sleep. Jade has a specific connection to the Mayan culture where it was seen as a 'Sovereign of Harmony', furthering peace on all levels. In other cultures, Jade has been seen as a sacred stone supporting a smooth transition from the present world to the spiritual world, and in inspirational wisdom in addressing problems or turning dreams into physical reality. In healing, heart, kidneys, spleen and hips may be treated. Another of the stones of protection, power and majesty used in the past by high-priests. |
