| Hematite occurs in colours ranging from
grey/black and brown/red to red, all with a metallic lustre. The 'stone for the mind' can assist in mathematical pursuits, but mainly in assisting clear-thinking, enhancing memory, original thinking, and assimilating technical knowledge. Realisation that the only limitations are limitations of the mind, and also the creation of a calming atmosphere or environment are also features of Hematite. Hematite is useful for balancing the meridians within the body, and can dissipate negativity by dissolving and transmuting it into love energy. Peace, self-control, and inner happiness and harmony are all stimulated by Hematite. In meditation, Hematite can assist in achieving a 'soft' meditative state, bringing tranquillity and clarity to the emotions. In healing, Hematite can be used to treat leg cramps, blood and nervous disorders, and insomnia. Proper healing of breaks and fractures is also enhanced, and spinal mis-alignment has been corrected. As an elixir, it can be used to assist in cooling fever, or a stone placed on the forehead to produce the same effect. |
