Dreamer's Dreams

Dark shadows
form with tunnel's lightening glow
Revealing images that we both know
Emerging now to hold your trembling hand
And see the 'map' of unfamiliar land.
To soar
with eagles over mountains high,
To swim with fish, or watch the world go by,
To hum as bees on balmy summer breeze,
Or be 'whatever', simply as we please.
Not
to indulge in selfish thoughtless acts,
Not to waste our time on meaningless 'facts',
Not to damage, waste, or hurt, or harm,
But to make the helpless feel loved and warm.

We walk together in each of our dreams
And share our thoughts, our hopes - or so it seems.
To lift the mask of darkness we all know,
And in our dreams: these seeds we need to sow:
To know, for sure, there
is much more than 'self',
To know there is no need at all for 'wealth':
That riches come to us from what we give,
And more important is the life we live.
Returning now to darkened room at night:
From sleep, emerging all refreshed and bright.
Remembering lessons now relearned anew
As 'teacher', seeing what we need to do: |
To bring our Dreams to ALL that we go through!
